Default "XD" card for the Olympus Stylus 400

The review for the above camera on this web site indacated that if the user wanted to use the built in "Panorama" mode that only "Olympus" brand "XD" cards could be installed. Then what is the difference between the "Olympus" and "Fujifilm" "XD" card?

The only difference between an Olympus xD media card and all the others on the market like Fugi's offerings is the Olympus card will support the cameras built in panoramic assist feature that comes on the camera. Other than that, there is no real difference. I have purchased both a 256mb Olympus xD card and a 512mb Fugi xD card and both work exactly the same as far as I can tell with my c750uz. I bought the Fugi xD 512mb card over the Olympus card because for whatever reason there was about a $60cdn difference between the two brands 512mb cards and the only difference besides the panoramic support was Olympus gives you a slightly nicer xD media holder. Definately not worth the $60 difference however.

Try www.newegg.com, the Olympus 128mb XD card is $61.50 and $5 shipping.
