Default Is there a better cf card to buy out there for MAC users?

I just bought my first digcam (Canon A70, of course), and am ready to buy a cf card. OK to buy them from Ebay? Price is more important to me than customer service right now. New/unopened cards are so cheap there! Am thinking of buying a Sandisk 256mb on Ebay. Just want to make sure I don't need any special mac software to read a Sandisk cf card. It would seem from reading other posts that I won't benefit from a faster card, so I won't bother, but what about a secure digital card? I don't know what advantages this has over the Sandisk 256 that I'm considering. As a Canon A70 owner, will it be worth my while to get an secure digital card? Recommendations for a first timer?

CF cards are OS blind. so there is no difference in what you buy in relationship to the OS as far as a card goes. Macs are "special" but not that special.

if you were to get a secure digital card you would be hard pressed to find a place to plug it in on that camera. according to Canons specs it only takes type 1 CF cards. a SD card is a completely different form factor from CF and require either a different type slot or a $55 adapter card that fits a CF card slot. i suggest you read a lot more in these forums. a lot can be learned here and questions cleared up. you are a little confused at this point. here is where the basics can be learned. enjoy
