Default if i can use mmc or sd which is better

hi there i am going to by a Kodak digicam that will take both mmc/sd

my question is if i only will need upto 256 but 128 is fine which one should i get (i see there are a lot on new usb pen drives that fit mmc cards some even with mp3 and voice recording) i havent seen that many "toys" for sd am i right

will speed matter between a 2-3MP (6230/6330) digicam and a 5mp (dx4530)

Ps anyone ever use the add on lens for these cameras

I don't know much about the differences between MMC and SD but I have had both in my hand and the SD cards seem to be stronger in terms of construction.

I would find it strange that manufacturers these days would sell "toys" for MMC and leave SD behind when the portable device market seems to be embracing SD.
