Default investigators pocket camera

we've used sony and canon #### shot cameras for incident photos of slip and falls, damaged property/vehicles, collisons etc in a hotel resort enviroment. The photos are fine but the usp ports or memory card slots keep wearing out. Web searchs for more rugged units lead to (unnecessary) underwater equipment. Any suggestions?

Olympus SW cameras (now called tough or tough series) cameras should work well for you. I've had an Olympus SW1050 for at least 2 years and it still works like the day I got it. The only downside is it doesn't have a long zoom, but the images especially in IS/anti shack mode are really sharp and good. A big bonus is that I can use it in the rain and snow and used it in the Blizzard of 2010 when we got 27 inches of snow and it never once gave up. The SW1050 is an order model I'd get whatever the current series model is from Olympus and a 16GB card to go in it.
