Default Why are SD cards sooo expensive per MB!

I've been surfing for cheap SD cards (uk based) and even the 128
seem alot.

Should be around the 20 mark really.

I did see a 512MB car at pcworld.co.uk for 99, which seems
the best so far.

Anyone here (from UK) found a better deal ?

Not from the UK, but you should be able to get two 256 cards for far cheaper than one 512 mb card. That is how it usually is anyways. I always get really good deals from online retailers like www.newegg.com. I can't remember if they sell internationally or not though.
