Default Minolta Dimage V SmartCard help

I recently bought this unused Dimage V. Now, I'm finding out it is probably limited it its memory storage capabilities. Any ideas on this? Any way to increase the memory from 2mb or 4mb... and it's a 5v smart card? Any help? Great pics? Just can't find the "film." Thanks.

You're right, it's limited. Only a 2MB card shipped with the camera. But you can cheaply add much more and just put that 2MB card on the shelf.

Lexar and many others make dual voltage Smart Media Cards. 3.3v and 5v.

You should check with your manual or the manufacturer to see what the MAXIMUM amount of memory is for the camera.

Check out http://www.minoltausa.com and go to the support location if you don't have a manual. It will let you download one. If you can bear it, call customer service and ask.

Some cameras only read, say, 32MB of memory, so that's as big as you can get.

Other cameras are limited only by your pocketbook!

I think you can find a 64MB card for about $20. You are looking for SMART MEDIA CARDS!

Check with Ritz Camera or newegg.com or buy.com or any other online retailer for good prices. Watch the shipping!
