I'm using a 1GB SandiskCompact Flash as storage in my Olympus C-8080WZ (and a 512 MB xD). I've just started to seriously shoot in RAW mode. Would there be any benefit in switching to the faster Ultra II or is the camera's "write to storage speed" the primary limitation? Thanks for any advice.

Both the camera and the card come into play. But in your case I think the camera might be the limitation. You need to find out what the max write speed of the camera is and judge the memory card from there. No sense in buying an 80x card when you camera can only write something like 40x.

I had the same question the other day, when I was looking for a 1GB card for my rebel, and it turns out my rebel only writes at 12x, so the 80x card I was lookig at would be a waste.
