Here's a newby question....which method is faster, assuming all else is equal? using a jumpshot USB cable, or a pcmcia card adapter? Also, anyone have comments on which is more reliable?

I would think that the PCMCIA adapter will yield better throughput in most all cases. If you really want to see the data fly and you're using high-speed CF cards - try a 32-bit PCMCIA adapter like Delkin's!

On thing on that Steve, I've noticed that when I used my CF card in a PCMCIA adapter, it causes my system to slow down like you wouldn't believe. I've since moved back to a Belkin USB 2.0 adapter and I can do things in the background while I wait for my pictures to copy over, when before, with the adapter, I couldn't do anything in the background.
