How many pictures can be taken with 8mb in a digital camera?

It depends on the camera (how many mega-pixels, what image resolution you use).

Depends on a number of factors.

Number of pixels on the ccd, image size & image quality settings, file format eg, jpeg, tiff or raw.

For example, my A2 with 8mpat highest settings and using raw would store .65 of an image on an 8 mb card ( or, i presume, on board memory). So there wouldn't be enough memory to begin writing the file. Even in jpeg fine it would only store just under 2 images !!

A 3.2mp camera will store 4.5 images approx.

My Nikon 2200 (2MP) uses on avg about 400KB for a pix in "normal" mode...so would get maybe 20 pix in 8MB...

Not enough to bother with such a small card unless you plan to just take web pictures.
