hi. i recently bought I-Joy's MobiDV H12 digicam/mp3 player and they gave me a free Kingmax 128MBmemory card- it has been a month since i bought it and until today, has never given me any problems. I tried to upload some songs onto the device but it kept showing "no memory card" - i swapped it with another memory card and the sign disappeared. i know that the problem lies within my memory card, but it is a permanent error? i dont want to have to buy another memory card as a 128Megs card is $100 here. and i have a few songs and some important pictures inside that card.. please help!

many thanks,

If you have access to one, try accessing it as a Windows drive in a card reader -- might work.

If it's recognised, copy the data off and reformat the card.

Failing that, there are several programs around that might help (most have to be purchased, tho'.)

You might also check with your supplier if the card is under warranty -- it really ought to be.

thanks for your advice! ^-^

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"just so u know, i did take my card to a shop.. they reformatted it for me but it still wouldn't read- so i gave up n it, and bought a really good 256Meg SD card (transcend, i think, the brand)- anyway, im just hoping that the problem really IS in the card..

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"btw, that program u mentioned.. the one that i'd have to buy- how would i use that, supposing i did buy it?

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"cheers,
