I'm looking to purchase either a Canon EOS 20D or Nikon D70S. Maybe even the Fuji S3 Pro. My main concern is all the different lenses with different letters and numbers. Such as DX, EX, DG, XR Di II. What do the mean? And, it seems that all the hype is on wide-angle,telephoto that cost way more than my old film lenses, with much narrower zoom. Can someone guide me to a good source or info to help me choose the correct lenses for DSLR's. Thanks ......John

Hi John!

Today's "New" trend, is to fabicate newer lenses specifically for the size of the sensor in your 3 choices the all the same size. However remember that such newer designed lenses for "Digital" sensor size..WILL NOT...cover old 35mm film body! All such whatever named ONLY for Digitally cameras are lighter/smaller and cheap that the older for film:idea:

Good luck!
