I was wondering if the microdrives actually replace the memory cards in the canon 20d camera? Thanks!

The Microdrive for the 20D (and many other CF memory cameras)IS a typeII CF card ... it looks just like a regular CF memory except for the labeling. It is used just like the CF memorycard and in place of it. The 20d takes both typeI and II CF cards.
