When I put my SD card from the Nikon D50 in my printer (which normally transfers my images from my old camera), will I lose any of the data about the shot? (printer is an HP 2610). If so, is there one particular card reader that is better than another at preserving the data? Or is the use of the USB cable to transfer data from the camera/card to the computer the best/only way to preserve the image data?

If there is no difference between the methods, does anyone know if I should only view the files from the Nikon software onlyor if the printer software (HP Director) is ok/harmless to the photo's data.

Any other variables or thoughts I haven't considered regarding transfer of files from the camera/sd card would be appreciated.
