Do anybody know a camera having a function that when using optical zoom and it reaches the max magnification point, it does not changes automaticaly to electronic zoom, but the user has to do something else in the camerato activate the electronic zoom?

I would venture to say that most cameras that have electronic or digital zoom have an "on/off" function, usually within the setup menus.

For example, on my Olympus C-730 I can turn the digital zoom function on or off. I usually keep it off. If I want to engage it, I just go into the setup menu and turn it on; the camera transitions seamlessly between optical zoom (at the max telephoto end)and digital zoom. When the digital zoom capability is turned on, there's a red bar at the top of the zoom indicator and it shows relatively how much optical and then digital zoom is being used. (Hope that makes sense!?!) I have to go back into the setup menu to turn the digital zoom function off.

I've come across quite a few cameras where there is a setup option to cause the camera to pause at the maximum optical zoom. You then need to release the zoom control and then press it again to start the digital zoom. I've not seen a camera with optical zoom that didn't have some method of preventing inadvertant digital zooming.

My Fuji S602 worked this way - check the S7000 - it may be the same. You have the option of continuous optical plus digital or optical stop start digital.
