Hello to all of you!

Decided to share with you, examples of a formidable "Bokeh"...on nature shoots!

I use my second DSLR a Pentax K10D fitted with a SMC-A manual focus 1,4 50mm prime lens...the camera was set at "P"...100 ISO:idea:

Of course take liberty to critiqued my work...Thanks!:P

Peace,

Alex 007:|

Alex,

the first one has the prettiest subject, but the bokeh isn't particularly effective... a bit to much depth of field, even at f/2.8. perhaps getting closer to the subject in that would help? the second has the best bokeh of the three, but the leaf isn't something i personally find visually appealing. thethird shothas a nice bokeh, but the subject is out of focus in the foreground, which tends to detract from the image IMHO...

the trick to gettin a good bokeh isn't justa fast lens wide open, though that does help. two of these were shot with a 400mm lens at f5.6- hardly the kind of lens one would normally use to achieve that effect! but shooting at wide apertures isn't enough... to ensure a good, soft background, you also need to make sure there's at least twice as much distance between your subject and the backdrop as there is between your lens and the subject.

here are a few examples of my own...
