these are what i have so far for public viewing... any advice.. also what is macro? and what type of zoom do you use?

Nice shot first of all. Macro is a setting on your camera that allows to capture things that are closer than about 5 ft, it's makes the subject clearer and allows more details to be captured, also sharpens the subject, for example, if you took those flowers with macro mode, they wouldn't have the blurred/clouded effect. My advice would try to take some flowers with the macro mode, that shot IS nice blurred a bit but just so you understand what macro does. As for zoom, well for now I just use my base zoom on my camera, 10x optical, and 4.6x digital.
