Found this while I was out cutting the roses down to the ground. Used a car window shade black side for the background and silver side for (not in picture) a little added light. Focus is not as sharp as I think it should be, not sure if the subject or I moved after locking the focus in place.

I like the title and the picture that goes with it. Subject matter and composition here is what I really like. It is not always necessary to have sharpness, and focus spot on. I don't see all things that way normally so this is really a nice contrast of new life and death on the stem.

beautiful shot and creative use of the car parts ! I'm not bothered at all by focus problems (probably DOF played a role there), the picture as a whole has a vivid atmosphere and I liked it immeadetely !
