Default floral shots in the yard

what do you think of these? was just out and about in the yard taking shots.

The exposure is very good, but if your after CC then here goes....

The first shot is too clutterd in the back ground, maybe next time turn the camera to capture a portrait view....

The 2nd shot is too soft, as if there was a focus problem but that could be down to the image being soft after file compression, and if so always make sure you re-sharpen compressed files but don't over sharpen...

Yellows can be hard to work with. As Karltog suggested a vertical framing (with a bit more room above the flower) would have helped. Just as an exercize, I tried a few things in PSE with the first image - cropping out the distracting yellows in the background, selectively sharpening the flower in the foreground (maybe too much) and blurring and darkening the background somewhat (it could have been blackened completely, as well). A photoshop whiz probably could have done better. What do you think?
