Default Cactus bloom in AZ

While visiting family in AZ one of the neighbors had a great display of blooming cactus. The owner said they bloom for only one day.

I managed to pull off these shots handheld. Luckily I had good light.

Classic case of right place at the right time. Nice captures.

Beautifully clear and detailed shots Lomitamike. #3 is superb. Yes, they do only open for one day, but usually there is a profusion of buds so that they flower in waves - each wave lasting a day.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Bernice I wondered about the one day bloom, I never made it back over there after my initial visit. Thanks for the clarification.
