even the 2nd gen unit i worked with had an EOS mount. but it was cheaper at $23000. it did include the laptop though.

well it seems the gate is opening on the real new era of Dslrs.
canon- out of that gate at a blinding $9000. thats scary. i think there will be a revaluation of that one. cool machine though.

sigma- finally out with the foveon?

and now from left field kodak with the DCS14n. this one interests me. Basic nikon based body in full metal (Mg alloy) jacket. 13+MP cmos sensor (bye bye ccd). needed 256MB buffer(needed, especially for that size image)upgradeable no less, to 512MB(ahh, but for how much?). 2fps is sort of lame. and they push the free firmware upgrade idea(possible room for growth in the camera thru firmware?). colorspace added value. cute stuff like auto rotation of images. and i can put my Nikon lenses back to work. it seems that big yellow has been busy up in rochester.
