"Zoom in on some tiny dots on the cliff, and a group of people with binoculars and telephoto lenses can be seen. Follow their gaze, and you'll see naked sunbathers on the beach"

Now i know why he built it. :|

I wonder if he made his tripod from the landing gear off a 747?

Well he should just invent a super-large format ccd or cmos sensor, because even though he is getting a huge image after scanning this camera is NOT user friendly.

I will stick to 10MP since from the info trying to photoshop a file like that would be dreadful on my current PC.

Looking at the whole image, you see a regular scene; but crop out a small piece and expand it (the same function as a telephoto) and you'll see your blades.

The two functions are not identical, true, but with all that resolution, you still get the same effect.

No, remember he's using old surplus parts like from the U-2 spyplane (1960s era). Probably from the original 707. :-)

where are the full size demo pics? haha that would be interesting

POST EDIT... I don't know I COULD be the only one here. But, the numeric values of the cameras specs are VERY impressive. but, I'm not seeing that great of a pic. I understand you gotta blow it up.. So they have the 20% crop.. and you can see the cars. well, hmm you can do that on a camera with 3 mega pixels.

I think perhaps this technology may come into its own on planets with thin or absent atmospheres
