Being able to detect a single photon would give an amazing ISO. I don't think it is likely to show up in many cameras real soon because, " It is cooled to just above absolute zero, ..." But there is always the Acme 4000 to consider.

Darn Bill... I didin't realize there was an Acme 4000 yet.

We're still waiting on an Acme 3000 to review (and the one we thought was on the way from a Brooklyn based dealer claiming to have it in stock was lost during shipment).

oops - shouldn't have said anything about the 4000: it is still in developement. I have been told that as soon as they solve the problem of the user's eyeball freezing to the viewfinder it will be released. But I don't know why they are waiting: that is a normal winterproblem here in Northern Wisconsin.
