Default Help, I need to pick one..

Hi there,

I am in the market for a new camera, and I am currently looking at either the Canon S50 or the Nikon 5400. I know I can get the Canon for <$500 and the Nikon for about $120 more.....

How well do these two compare to each other, and what features do you really like?

thanks in advance,

Those 2 cameras are in a slightly different class from each other.

The 5400 should be compared with the Canon G5 or Olympus 5050.

The S50 is smaller with fewer features, but still a excellent camera.

You can check http://www.dpreview.com/ for each cameras features. I would have gone with the G5, except for its annoying case of the purple fringies. :P Go into the detailed reviews on dpreview and it will show you what the purple fringies are, if the camera you are interested has the problem.
