Default c750 vs 5700

:?: first time digicam buyer
I have spent two months researching and have narrowed it dpwn to these two as a long zoom is a priority
Is the Extra $$$ for the nikon justified for an initial camera

If you are getting into this price range don't overlook the Minolta 7Hi, and maybe the newest Sony 8mega pix camera whenver it actually becomes available.

Also the new Canon EOS digital Rebel 6.3mp camera will be not be to far from the price range you are looking in.

 Sorry to mess up your research/decsions.

Keeping it simple, I think the Nikon is worth the extra - I'd love one myself.

If you can afford it and justify it, buy-it!!

Yeah...Nikon 5700 over Olympus 750 because of more features...

However, 750 in right hands...can do some amazing things

I have the Nikon 5700 and am very impressed with the overall function and quality -

A word of advice - buy more camera than you currently think you need !! If you are interested in photography, you will probably wish you had "Bought the other one" as you become more interested.
Spending more now can save spending a lot more later. Not much market for used digital cameras as they change (improve??) every few months.

Most cameras are capable of much more than most people realize. It is real work to get the "Perfect shot", as you will soon find out.
