Default Magazine

I just want some suggestions on a magazine with good digital camera reviews and ratings . I'm planning on getting my first one this year and I need more info. since I'm still learning about them. I'm leaning towards Nikon and Olympus at this point and I want to compare the different models and decide what features are important to me. For starters, I want good macro capabilities on the one I get. I want to keep it under $500. I think I want the option of point and shoot or manual.
I know there's a lot of info. on this site and others, but I can't spend a lot of time reading on a screen, but I can with a book or magazine, plus I can take the latter with me when I'm waiting on someone at an appt. or whatever.

Don't know if it's available in the US, but give What digital Camera a try.

Very well set out and informative.

I might be a bit biased (I have one) but an Olympus C4000 would fit all your specs.

Most dedicated UK digital camera magazines are very good. Here are some:

What Digital Camera
Total Digital Photography
Digital Photo

The US Pop Photography is also good although not dedicated (to digital). A new US magazine Digital PhotoPro seems promising. Whether it can sustain this level of quality remains to be seen.

In general the British mags are much better than the American. But the Internet offers you the best information available. This site is an example. Another is dpreview. Great reviews on both.
