Default Flash memory or HDD?

HI, I am looking at Panasonic's HDC-HS60 . It is a hard drive-based camcorder, equipped with a 120GB hard disk, I love it. But does it start up slower than flash memory-based camerador, and would it takes longer to write data? it seems camcorders pack flash memory are smaller either,

It's true that camcorders that use flash memory are smaller, and give longer battery life. And while a HDD takes longer to start up, it's faster.
