Default New owner of c730 - advice on learning all its options

I just bought a used c-730. I have been using a Fuji 2600 and 2800, but the Canon has way more functions and options to select from.

My guess is that making use of all the options will require that I learn more about traditional photography; if true, does anyone have suggestions for books or other resources that would help me learn how to use the settings/functions of my new camera.

Thanks, David.

www.shortcourses.com has a free on line tutorial of basic photograpy. The best thing about digitals is to change settings write them down and then take some pictures and then view the difference. Read the manual.

i went to the library and checked out a dozen books on traditional camera use and its heled a great deal.

Still, for most uses, the settings already in my C-750 put out great pics. In fact, it almost always beats me using manual settings. ops:

Get an EXIF reader that matches your camera. That will tell you what settings (f/stop, shutter speed, ISO, flash setting, distance, focus mode, ...) you used for each shot . There are generic EXIF readers, but it seems that every camera has a few settings that are coded in a unique way. Ask in the forum for your camera.
