Default Tamron 28/200mm and Rebel t1i

I just got the Rebel t1i and have a Tamron 28/200 lens that I bought years ago to use with my 35mm rebel.
Any thoughts on using it with my new camera, is there another lens that might be a better choice?

The canon 18-55(is) and 55-250mm are a really nice set that would work well. The Tamron you have would not give you the sharpness as these two, and if only one, get the the canon 18-55(is), you get them new for around 100ish on ebay...

use it till you all a longer lens. The ef-s 55-250 would be a better lens.
