Default Old lenses, to new bodies.

25/30 years ago, I purchased a Pentax SFX, I also purchased 2 lenses:-
Pentax SMC Pentax-F zoom 1:3.5-4.5 28-80mm
Pentax SMC Pentax-F 1:1.7 50mm
In all honesty, I have used them very little, over the years. I am now thinking of buying a Pentax K10D 10.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - Black (Kit, off an auction site. My question is, will my lenses fit a new Pentax body? Your help, will be much appretiated, Thanks.

I don't recall offhand whether the F lenses were manual focus and auto aperture, or the other way around. Either way, you can still use them with a digital body. There will, of course, be something less than full function, but if you can live with manual settings, you should have no trouble. The experts in the Pentax forum can give you a lot more detailed information.

Pentax "F" lenses will auto focus with any of the digital cameras, so you won't have any problems. I don't know about your zoom lens, but the 50 f1.7 is a really nice lens. I still occasionally use my old M version of the lens, which will also work with dSLR cameras (though, since it was originally a manual lens it will remain a manual lens). All of the various K-mount lenses will retain whatever capability it had when first produced - auto focus/auto exposure lenses like your F lenses will continue to be that way.
