Can anyone explain the difference for a novice regarding video formats. I am looking into two cameras and one of the differences is the video format. One has a format of H.264 while the other has a format of MPEG4 and AVDHD. I have no idea how the difference will have an impact on my usage or how the formats differ or which is better. I use the video to take some short 1 min. clips usually of my kids in action.
Thanks for your help. |

H.264 is MPEG-4.
AVCHD is H.264/MPEG-4 in progressive HD stored in a format that is directly transferrable to Blu-Ray.
