Default nikon 8700

Hi i wonder if someone could give me some help. I have a nikon 8700, is it possible to view pictures on both the view finder and lcd screen at the same time. i cant seem to have both options on at the same time, i have tried to press the monitor button but it doesnt give an option for having both , sorry if this is confusing, with thanks.

G'day Mate

Simple answer - nup
The electronics of the cameras with electronic viewfinders / LCD screens is "either one or the other - can't do both"

I'm not sure 100% as to why you'd want both - unless another person is viewing the LCD screen as you are using the main evf to keep taking photos

Q- can you give us some more info as to your thinking...

Using both together, if you could, would put extra strain on the power supply in the camera and deplete the battery quite a bit faster. I'm not quite sure how you could use both at the same time, anyway.
