Hello, I just bought what I thought was an awsome deal, the Olympus C750 UZ for $169. I am not happy yet. I show and breed dogs and want a camera to take pictures of stacked puppies (who don't hold still long) and pics during agility runs and so on. I needed a camera that could take quick point and shoot pictures. This camera has to focus first when I press the shutter and it takes about 4 seconds to take the picture in which case the animal has moved and I get the rear end. I am hoping I just have it set wrong. Help! I was originally llooking at the Canon A70 and think I may take this Olympus back.:?

An Olympus 4040 is our staff camera at my newspaper, so I've learned to deal with Oly's weirdnesses.

You should always (when you know you'll be shooting, that is) have your finger depresing the shutter button halfway. That will keep the the camera focused so that when you hit the shutter it'll be able to capture the picture more quickly.

If you'd read the review, you'd already know this.
