Default An advice for first purchase of digi user

I am planning on two purchases but they are linked:
a digital camera and a printer:
I am considering purchasing the Canon PowerShot S40 as the reviews have been favorable for this camera and was wondering if the Canon C9000 printer with its 13x19 printes is more printer than this camera needs.
Also I am on a budget so if I were to buy the Canon PowerShot S30 would it benifit or print clearly on the Canon C9000, or would the C900 be a better match.

It is not what the camera needs, but what you need to print. If you are not printing to 13X19 paper, then 900 printer will meet your needs and save you a couple hundred dollars. Go to http://consumer.usa.canon.com/index.shtml and you can compare the two printers. The only difference between the two printers is 13X19 printing ability of the 9000.
