Default I need help!

Which one of the two Canon's the S30 or the S40 would be the
easiest to understand and opreate, or are the the same.
This will be my first Digital Camera.

Those are twins except for the resolution, the S30 is 3 megapixels, the S40 is 4 megapixels. They are both easy to use in the Auto or "P" mode and later as you get more experienced you can explore the advanced exposure modes.

I have read in some postings that the S30 is the better deal as the CCD seems to resolve detail better than the 4MP in the S40.
