Default photo database software

I have approximately 20,000 slides that I am digitizing and expect the number to double within the next five years. Currently I store information about the photos in an MS Excel database that has twelve fields of information including two additional fields for descriptions of various lengths. I am now converting to digital photography. I am looking for software that will provide a browse page with thumbnail views of photographs and have a Excel type database design for searching. My internet searchs have thus far been disappointing. Does such software exist?

Default PaperPort

Take a look at PaperPort. It may be what you want.

Look under Third Party Software.
