Tabasco, ....we're back to that discussion: 'at what point can the advantages of digital zoom compete with optical disadvantages of size and weight and still give similar quality. Which is why I think more ccd res., lower noise and stabilisation in the future will give optical a run - but I agree not serious regular zoom shooting for a while.
One thing about digi-zoom, is if the cam lens is good, you do not get the shading and lens distortion. Might have advantages for architectural work?

Yes, I'd forgotten deleting the rubbish shots. BUT do it too much and don't you fragment the card? needing reformat later anyway?
