Default Can't decide: Nikon 4500 or 5700 or something else...

I have an N90s (nikon slr) and I'm considering on trading it up to a digital camera. I don't think I'll get the D100 series. But do want a decent one - sparing $900.

I'd have the 5700, great camera with a big zoom.

I partially concur, it's always good to buy as much camera as you can. But it really depends on what you want the camera for. If you did a lot of supertelephoto with your old slr, I'd get the cp4500 since it can take tons of add-on lenses with little to no vignetting and is the camera of choice for digiscopers in case you ever decide to go into that. Also, since the cp4500 is a lot cheaper, you could buy several accessories or maybe even a nice digiscoping setup and depending on how nice of a setup you get, you may still have enough money for a monocular while still staying within your $900 budget.
