Will the D80 accept older Nikkor lenses for manual use?

I think you can use anything they've made since about 1960 in manual mode, but if they were made before about 1980 you won't be able to use the cameras internal metering because the camerea relies on the lens to give it some information electronically, which lenses before this date can't do.

I think the rule is that if an older lens has the "rabbit ears" metal tab extending from the aperture ring you can't use it with a DSLR.

That still leaves a huge range of legacy DSLR lenses.
