I am a bit confused. What program do I use to process raw images on the computer. I have a Nikon D200.

Try Nikon's Capture NX, A free trial download is available right from Nikon USA website.

I personaly use Photoshop CS2 but it is very expensive compared to NX.

I just started using Bibble Labs software based on Steve's review and it works well and isn't that expensive. They also have a trial version so you can check it out.

I second Ronnie948's recommendation to some extent, but I chose PhotoShop Elements 5.0, which is less than $100. And, if you eventually find you need CS2, there's an upgrade path. You'll also need Adobe's Rawconverter 3.6, which supports the D200 (I have a D80), which is free from Adobe. And, finally, if that wasn't enough to digest, you can get 30 day trial versions of Photoshop Elements as well as CS2 from Adobe's web site. Good luck!
