I have a 28-80mm lense and everytime i try to shot something close it doesnt let me, when i try to press the button, it autofocus and it doesnt shot. I tried getting close to the object or zooming but either way doesnt work. You guys think its the lense or i should turn off the autofocus, if so, how i turn it off. Thanks

Ha j3

Minimum focus distance is 1.3 feet or 0.4m on a Nikkor 28 80mm lens. If you are closer than that it will not focus.

Don,t say which camera you are using, But my D80 wont take a shot if it can,t focus.

saves on blured images...if you want them ,go to manual...Rick
