Hi there ,

I see that you can shoot in B&W when selecting monochrome in the optimisation menu.
But can you also change the contrast and lightning at the same time like on the D80 ?

Can someone post a couple of pics taken in this mode , thanks.

It's all digital. You can do anything with the photo shot in B&W -- contrast, brightness, etc.

Post production, check out DxOptics for their "Film Pack" and render the photo as if it were shot with Kodak Tri-X film.

I use a D200, so I can't post a photo -- but you don't really need one. Just know that you will get very nice B&W photos whether you shoot in B&W from the menus or just post-process as black and white.

D70s could not shoot B&W on the spot, I have no idea about D80 but it is easily converted with all software nowadays. Though I wished I could view B&W on the spots as I would want to shoot IR.
