I recently purchased a used D100 in basically excellent condition. However after 1000 or so test shots I have been unable to resolve a focusing issue. The problem is on occasional days the camera cannot produce a clear, sharp picture no matter what is tried. This occurs despite using a fast shutter speed, tripod, careful focusing, and will occur with any lens, autofocus or manual focus. The image appears razor sharp in the viewfinder but the resulting image lacks sharpness or is completely blurred beyond recognition. I have checked the mirror box, CCD assy and mount; they are all tight. Tweaking the menus, or changing from jpeg to NEF has no effect whatsoever. It almost seems that the CCD gets dew on it or some other such problem, but so far nothing can be seen on the optical surface. The next day the camera works great. This problem is most prevalent with wide angle lenses, and is rare with long lenses. Any suggestions out there???
