Unfortunately that's the nature of Li-ion batteries since there is almost no voltage sag until they are almost drained. A better voltage meter would make a difference but may give in accurate readings as the variation between two different batteries may be more than a battery at full and truly at half capacity.
FWIW That's why Sony went with a chip in the battery. The Infolithinum batteries do a good job of reading out capacity in minutes in a camcorder. |
