I returned my D70 to Nikon for the BLOD problem several years ago. SInce then it has worked well. Lately, I've had a problem that's driving me nuts because it's intemittant and I can't pin down what might be causing it. Any help would be appreciated.

I turn on the camera and there's a "FOR" message on the LCD and the green light at the CF card glows steady. The camera is frozen. If you go ahead and try to format the card (which should be unnecessary because the card is already formatted), it appears to start the format process. After about 20-30 seconds it stops, the green light is still steady, and the camera frozen.

I've tried the card in my D200 and it's fine. I've tried another card in the D70 and I'll have the same problem. Then, the next day I turn the D70 on and all works well for a time only to eventually revert to the problem. Help.
