I thought the D5000 shared a lot with the D90 but out of interest I have searched my contrasty NEF files for CA and found only very very slight evidence of it even at 100-300 % and I have searched my J. Pgs and could only find the slightest trace, (and I mean a minicule amount) even at the high mags. It's certainly something I cant see me ever edit trying to edit out.
My lens is the 18-200mm vr. Maybe it's something Nikon have pumped up in the D5000??. It's not mentioned in the handbook.
