Default I'm curious to know...

I'm curious to know something... my Nikon has these like 8 contact pins for electrical connection between the lens and the body... think it's called CPU contacts?
since I like to change lenses alot (borrowing a nice set off my uncle since he doesn't use them for now), will those damn golden contacts wear out? so far I can see scrapes and gouges on those contacts from just changing lenses several times!
... and obviously bits of dust on the mirror... which doesn't really bother me for now LOL.

Those types of contacts have been in use in electrical and electronic devices for years, and have proven to be reliable. Gold is a soft metal, so it's likely to show signs of use, but the contacts are likely to work properly for quite a while.
