Default Sigma work on Nikon D3100?

I suppose that owning a Sigma 8mm fish-eye lens and a Sigma 10-20mm zoom (purchased 5 years ago for the D50) would normally require that I know the answer to this question but I don't. Can I upgrade from a Nikon D50 to a D3100 and still enjoy the same level of operation with these relatively new lenses? I know I hear a motor moving the lens when these lenses autofocus but I can't figure where that motor is, in the lens or in the camera. I have been able to figure that a D3100 doesn't have a motor and my D50 does.

(Too many DX, SX etc acronyms on Nikon for me to figure it all out.)

I don't think the 8mm fisheye will AF, but if the 10-20 is an HSM it will work.

Sigma identifies lenses with a built in motor with an HSM designation.

The 8mm F3.5 EX DG Circular Fisheye doesn't have the HSM so won't AF on a D3100 and since this model was designed for use with full frame digital SLR cameras it may not be as fishy as you may hope.

Both the 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM and the 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM have the built in motor and will AF. In addition they are designed to work with Nikon DX cameras such as the D3100 and the D50.
