Default SIGMA 12-24mm or 15-30mm???

I have at present the SIGMA 15-30mm for my D100. It works fine for me & I love the sharpness & contrast of the lens. I'm contemplating on wethrer or not to get the 12-24mm. I wonder has any of you guys tried this particular lens. I'm more concerend with the quality comapred to the 15-30mm. is it sharp? is it worth it???

Hard to say! Guess it is a matter of how much you want to pay for how little, right ?

Do you really need the extra degrees in viewing angle ?

The 12-24mm should be very sharp a most apertures, not like the 15-30mm which is best at f.8. Sharpest that is! So I don't think your question is that obvious to answer by anyone but yourself.

Good luck on you quest!
