I've noticed the same thing. This forum has really dropped off the past year or so. I've been hanging out here off and on for several years now.

Here are some pics of my hometown, Tacoma, WA

Jack,
I especially like the last photo, from Puget Sound looking at Mt. Rainier. I was in Tacoma in 2007 for the YMCA National Gymnastics Championships (my daughter competed there) and visited both Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. The last day before we left our hotel in Tacoma we visited Puget Sound.
Also visited Seattle Space Needle. What happens on the Duck, stays on the Duck.

To add to my Tacoma series... Besides the most prominent building on the landscape, the Tacoma Dome,
would be the St. Joseph Hospital which can be seen for miles around as it sits on top of a hill.
The sick folks in there get to see either Mt Rainier or the Olympic Mountain range.

Thank you Marcelo. Your a LONG ways from here! Completely different than what you see in NY.

Here are some shots I got a few days ago with the Super Moon & Mt Rainier.

Not quite full moon yet on 7/20/13

Almost full the next day 7/21/13 (the smog almost ruiined the picture)

Full Super Moon on 7/22/13 The sun had just set when the moon came up, so I settled for this.

I had to move around to different spots in Tacoma, WA to position the Moon closer to Mt Rainier. Even used a 12ft ladder for two shots to shoot over bushes.
Sure, I could have put on my 500mm and got a more detailed moon, but that has been done hundreds of times. More rare to get Mt Rainier in it.

Beautiful set Jack, the last picture is the best of the bunch.

You are lucky to have such a beautiful landscape around Mt. Rainier.

Last week I returned from a 12 days trip to Las Vegas for a convention for the company I'm working for. I had the chance to shoot some pictures of the brand events and some personalities of the fashion world.

I used my D600 with the 24-70mm 90% of the time and I'm very happy with the results specially at high ISO.

The Givenchi room:

Nicolas Degennes, Colour and Make-up Art Director for Givenchy

A Guivenchi representative

Mirror reflection

Kat Von D, Tattoo Artist and Celebrity

Marc Jacobs - Designer

Testing the new products:

I'll post more pictures tomorrow.

Have a good night everyone.

If those were without flash using available light, impressive indeed!
