Default D7000 BBF = ON, half press of shutter release still causes "shudder"

After finding some of the known issues with back focusing on the D7000, I started playing with adjusting mine. I have used the fine-tuning options. I have even cracked open the case and made some adjustments. Tonight I noticed something however.

As stated in the thread title I have BBF turned on. So I press the AE-L/AF-L button to do all of my focusing. Once I have that, as I press the shutter button, at the half press stop, there is a noticeable "shudder" from the camera visible through the viewfinder. The focus doesn't seem to change. But, I am wondering what is going on and IF it could be something that could be causing the back focusing issue.
